This  blog is the official blog of the hormonal fat loss and lifestyle company Metabolic Effect Inc., also known as ME. The term Metabolic Effect refers to the optimal state of hormonal function that leads to sustained fat loss both during exercise and at rest. It is the lifestyle inputs like diet, exercise, sleep, and stress among others that determine whether we will burn fat or store it, age fast or slow, be in a good mood or bad, and have sustained health or disease. This blog is meant to help decipher the differences between fat loss and weight loss (they are not the same thing).  Topics include exercise, nutrition, lifestyle, and various other topics.

I love the ME classes and am working very hard to find a diet/exercise/sleep/stress control balance into my own life.

Your blog is a great way to understand your philosophy and makes the lifestyle more attainable.

I absolutely love this blog. I have a question that I’m hoping could be addressed in a future post (if it hasn’t already been addressed).. What is the best/quickest/healthiest way to recover from-
    1) a ‘bad’ week consisting of poor food choices and little-to-no exercise.
    2) a ‘bad’ period of time consisting of too little consumption (accidental undereating/overexercising- crash dieting)?

    1. Hello B,

Thank you for your question. We will definitely try to cover this topic in a future post. We have also devoted a substantial portion of The New ME Diet, our book being released April of 2010, on this very topic. Thanks for reading
